We inform you that from March 10, 2022, the Bank of Russia will introduce the following regime for issuance of cash foreign currency for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs from their deposits and bank accounts in foreign currency.
For residents:
Residents are entitled to receive cash foreign currency in US dollars, euros, pounds sterling, Japanese yen to pay for travel costs outside the territory of the Russian Federation in the amount of no more than USD 5000 for a period of 6 months starting from March 10, 2022.
If necessary, the credit institution has the right to apply to the Bank of Russia with a reasoned request in order to change the specified limit of issuance.
The issuance of cash foreign currency in other currencies for residents is carried out without restrictions. Residents also have the right to withdraw foreign currency in cash in other currencies without restrictions from their accounts in USD, euros, pounds sterling, Japanese yen converted at the market rate determined in accordance with the Instruction of the Bank of Russia dated March 14, 2019 No. 5094-U.
Other terms of deposits and accounts in US dollars, euros, pounds sterling, Japanese yen opened by residents as of March 10, 2022, remain, including the terms of the interest rate and the repayment period.
For non-residents:
Cash withdrawal of USD, euros, pounds sterling, Japanese yen from accounts and deposits opened by non-residents in USD, euros, pounds sterling, and Japanese yen is not carried out for 6 months from March 10, 2022.
Non-residents are entitled to receive without restrictions from their accounts and deposits opened in USD, euros, pounds sterling, Japanese yen, other foreign currency converted at the market rate determined in accordance with the Instruction of the Bank of Russia dated March 14, 2019 No. 5094-U.
